Emory Anderson has been around music since the young age of 4 years old. He was introduced to music via the drums. As he got older, he began writing poetry and doingspoken word. His natural progression led him to become a profound lyricist and began to fuse his lyrical play on words with his music background. What developed was a new fresh, exciting sound. Emory has a very diverse tone for his hip hop. His versatility is as boundless as his creative genius and he proudly displays it through song for everyone to enjoy.
His first CD release was “Beyond the 4 Wallz” (2009) followed by “Something Else to Say” (2011).
Emory Anderson’s latest release “The Appetizer” EP was a hit in so many ways. His growth was clearly evident. His sound is different and has laid his foundation to what is known to be a contender to some of the hottest most known hip hop artists around town.
“The Appetizer” is filled with some of the greatest refreshing and innovative hip hop songs. His single “G-Five” is one example as to the play on words that he is known for. “G-Five” literally refers to a G5 jet, but he uses it as a metaphor in the song to describe a young lady who is“fly” like a G5. This song promotes self-acceptance andself-worth amongst women in general; making them feel like the elite class of individuals that they truly are. This single has a rich sultry rhythm to it. It has a classic jazz undertone that makes it unique from anything else. His vocals are passionate if not down right animated. His lyrical talents are stamped into this song which gives audiences an indicator as to the intelligence behind the written word.
