Songwriter/Publisher
Spring City

Spring City was founded in March 2018 by bringing three artists together.
Annielle – An artist that had a national success in Sweden 2010 when she became a contender to the most famous Swedish chart Svensktoppen with her hit song Summer Love.

NOOMI – Started her career at Sarah Kelly Music School, TX, where she recorded and released a Christian Pop album. In 2016, she started a new era by adding electronic influences to her sound. Her song Intoxicated became one of the 10 most played songs of that year on Swedens largest FM Radio Channel.

MIAH – An educated music teacher, who, after leading choirs and performing, decided to do her SOLO project in 2017. Her first single, That’s When We All Come Falling Down, became nr 2 in the Swedens largest radio music competition.

They grew up in the small city Malmbäck, have their roots in the church, and have known each other since childhood.

When they were young, they sang together in church and at music events in their hometown. They have been passionate about music from childhood, and all studied music in college. After graduating from school, they’ve performed occasionally in their hometown. Fall 2017 their city asked them to do a concert together to inspire young musicians to believe in their music and try their wings.

An idea started to grow when some festivals reached out to book them all three together. Five months later, Spring City was founded and on May 25 they won the regional final of the Swedens largest radio music competition, P4 Nästa.

Late July, they were informed that out of 25 local winners, their song was one of the final eight chosen competes for the next big radio hit in Sweden. On August 25, they won the competition and, now, Back On Our Streets is on heavy rotation at Swedens largest FM Radio Channel, reaching over a million listeners daily.

All three have individual releases coming up, and they’re currently finishing up the Spring City EP. It includes their single "Back On Our Streets”, released August 25 and available in all digital stores now.

Mama’s Black Sheep

Mama’s Black Sheep is the soulful collaboration of singer-songwriters Ashland Miller (guitar/vocals) and Laura Cerulli(drums/vocals). Together, this duo creates a blend of hit-worthy originals and covers with a unique spin.  Each song allows you to travel with time, whether you’re swinging to Country, Rocking to Pop, Grooving to Soul, or swaying to the Blues; there’s always something to move your body and stir your soul!

Touring together since 2008, Miller & Cerulli (veterans of the singer-songwriter circuit), will make you feel like every aspect of their journey is in Real-Time. Creating a sound all of their own, Mama’s Black Sheep is driven by Miller’sversatile guitar grooves, Cerulli’s innovative percussion, and two voices that blend like honey & whiskey in perfect harmonious balance. These ladies rock to their own beat, sharing songs of life and love, and empowering the listener to live boldly beyond the barriers.

With three well-received CD’s to their credit (Unmarked Highway, 2010; Drivin’ On, 2011; Live @ The Bevy, 2016) the duos newest recording, “The Sheep Save Christmas” will be released October 2018 to celebrate 10 Years of Mama’s Black Sheep.  The new recording will feature some Holiday favorites with a “Sheep” spin and a few new original songs. Mama’s Black Sheep has been burning up the road touring extensively throughout the continental U.S. and the Caribbean, playing nearly 200 shows a year. While much of their touring is done as a duo, they are occasionally seen as a trio or full band with the addition of violin and/or bass.

Prior to Mama’s Black SheepAshland toured for twelve years as part of the award-winning acoustic duo, CommondbonD, releasing six CD’s, performing on The Nashville Network (TNN), and showcasing their music in forty states, as well as overseas. Ashland’s songwriting, harmonies, and creative musical arrangements have been shared on stage with talents such as John Mayer, Ritchie Havens, Catie Curtis, and Sophie B. Hawkins.

Laura previously fronted her own band, Cerulean Groove. She toured internationally from 2005-2008 as a full-time member of SONiA & disappear fear. Her unique style has been appreciated everywhere from The Kerrville Folk Festival (TX), to The Barns at Wolftrap (VA), to the High Sierra Music Festival (CA), to The Red Roof Women’s Festival(Ontario), and even ‘down under’ at the Woodford Folks Festival (AUS).

Ashland and Laura, produce magical tapestries of songs, weaving energetic color and rich texture to create an infectious and lively conversation between guitar and percussion. Miller’s passionate voice will make you laugh, cry, feel inspired, and ultimately, desire more.  Bob Steel of “Baltimore Out Loud” writes “Cerulli opens her mouth and the world stands still as she wrings every drop of emotion out of the lyrics with her powerful, soaring voice, forged in the fires of the blues and tempered in the cool technique of her classical training.”

This thought-provoking duo will tantalize your aural appetite, regardless of your musical taste buds, with a diverse blend of blues, soul, country, pop, and more by unapologetically dipping into the well of all music genres. It’s called soulful, poetic storytelling with an irresistible groove.

An earthy roots Folk & Canadiana with traces of Psychobilly-esque undertones. Simon & Garfunkel meet Stan Ridgeway.

From the three rivers of Pictou harbour in the Canadian east of Nova Scotia emerges KENT and his the debut release "Hot Chicken Sandwich".

BANDCAMP
https://kent2.bandcamp.com/album/hot-chicken-sandwich

KENT's lyrics weave an introspective look at life and community in rural Canada. From the self-examination of lost possibilities (Everyone who knows me, knows I could do better...but me) in "Dry Little Cracker" to the mournful self portrait of "Tonto Lamento" that speaks of anguish "his heart it is a wind swept plain" KENT offers up a revealing personal portrait his own story and life.

Pictou was a receiving point for many Scottish immigrants moving to a new home in northern Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island following the Highland Clearances of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Consequently, the town's slogan is "The Birthplace of New Scotland"; the first wave of immigrants is acknowledged to have arrived on September 15, 1773, on the Hector.

All songs written by Kent Vodden.
Kent Vodden-vocals, tenor guitar, cigarbox, ukulele, percussion.

Jesse King-bass, guitar, keyboard, percussion. Recording, mixing, and mastering.
